Meet the Facing History UK Team

Our Team has been growing over the last couple of months and we’d love to introduce them to you!

Beki Martin, our Executive Director, is accountable for delivering on the organisational strategy, and leading and managing the team. We then have a Programme Team and a Development and Operations Team. 

The Programme Team makes our work a reality. They develop and deliver our programme activity; training and supporting our teacher network, facilitating CPD workshops and seminars, and delivering educational projects with teachers and students.

The Development and Operations Team runs our community and fundraising activities, as well as our office admin. They keep our supporters up to date with the latest Facing History news, organise fundraising and awareness raising events and work with our Partner organisations to grow the Facing History community.

Beki Martin, Executive Director

Beki joined as Executive Director in 2019, and leads the team to deliver on our strategy ensuring we have high quality programme provision and a robust and sustainable organisation.

Sarah Boycott, Supporter Engagement and Events Officer

Sarah joined the team in late 2022 and is responsible for developing and growing our community of supporters and partners in the UK, as well as playing a critical role in helping to achieve Facing History UK’s ambitious annual fundraising goals.

Miya Chander, Programme Administrator

Miya started working for Facing History in late 2022 and is responsible for the successful administrative management of our programme activities.

Aqsa Islam, Programme Associate

Aqsa joined us in late 2022 and works across both curriculum development and programme delivery in her role as Programme Associate.

Michelle Perkins, Senior Programme Associate

Michelle has been with Facing History since 2016 and is responsible for our programme delivery activity, training and supporting the teacher network, facilitating CPD workshops and seminars, and delivering educational projects with teachers and students.

Aneira Roose-McClew, Senior Curriculum Developer

Aneira joined the team in 2019 and is responsible for creating new educational resources and for supporting programme delivery.

Georgie Wells, Development and Operations Administrator

Georgie started working for Facing History in 2021. She is responsible for the successful administrative management of our operations and development activities.
