Our single professional learning sessions are designed to easily fit into your day. Typically one hour or less, these sessions explore timely and relevant topics including teaching strategies, current events, and more.

This event is aimed at teachers in the United Kingdom

In recent years, incidents of Islamaphobic and antisemitic hatred and violence have continued to increase. Join us for a one-hour webinar introducing our two new mini-units on contemporary Islamophobia and contemporary antisemitism, which will support you to engage students in discussions about racial and religious hatred in our society, its impact, and what can be done to challenge it.

The new mini-units consider the history and evolution of these prejudices, the role of social media in amplifying their spread, and how we can each stand up against bigotry and hate.

This event is aimed at teachers in the UK.

Explore teaching resources about Jewish partisans and resistance during the Holocaust with the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation and Facing History

Russian partisans, one of them photographer Faye Schulman, gathering together in the forest, Naliboki Forest, Belarus, December 1944. The Molotava Brigade was a partisan group made up mostly of escaped Soviet Army POWs. The woman pictured is Faye Schulman, a Jewish woman who fled into the Naliboki forest with her camera equipment and joined the Molotova Brigade. For two years in the forest she photographed the partisan's activities, worked as medical aid and participated in the partisans raid's.

In this workshop, participants will explore Jewish life in pre-war North Africa, highlighting the diversity of Jewish communities across Morocco, Algeria, Libya, and Tunisia and integrating stories that are often marginalized in learning about historical Jewish life and the Holocaust.
