International Women’s Day and Discussing Gender Inequality with Your Students

International Women’s Day provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the role women play in our society, to celebrate their successes and to consider what more can be done to eradicate gender inequality. Gender inequality is a pressing and important issue - it impacts how women are treated and the opportunities available to them, and left unchecked, it can have lethal consequences. 

It is important to have conversations with students about gender inequality, its societal causes and its potentially fatal consequences. Such sensitive conversations, however, are often difficult for teachers to facilitate. 

Join us for a one-hour conversation in which we will provide activities and resources for helping students discuss gender inequality in a supported and reflective way, and where there will be the opportunity to share experiences with and learn from other teachers. 

This event is aimed at teachers in the UK.
